THINGS CLOSE TO THE GROUND - Mushrooms - MFW 1ST GRADE - WEEK 1

Week 1 - Day 5

We started off our mushroom adventure by checking out some real mushrooms. We cut them open,  identified the parts and then tasted them.Anabel LOVES eating muchrooms.

We learned about the parts of the mushroom and the life cycle.

 Then instead of drawing and painting today, we did some clay fun!

Matthew joined in on school today.

He did the whole 'Aa Apple Preschool Unit' today :)

Since we are still in the 'intro' week of Adventures in U.S. History (MFW 2nd grade week 1) there isn't a whole lot to do.

We learned about directions north, south, east and west through the world map. We found America and then brought out the bigger map of just the US. We found our state, marked where our city is. Found Canada, Mexico, the different oceans and the great lakes.
