Uu Us Extra Work

Today, since it was a Sunday we did a lot of extra work. I had printed and bought so much for the ‘Uu Us’ unit that we are going to take some extra days to get most of it incorporated.
Here are some things Matthew did:

Stickers! A fine motor activity.

Above right: along with my help we did the alphabet puzzle. I would put the piece were it goes, tell her what it was and he would push the piece into place and repeat the name of the letter as we went. He loved this!

Above is him doing a shape puzzle which he did on her own. Very proud of my little guy, these foam puzzles are harder to do then the wooden ones.

Anabel’s work:

Above: Geometric shape problem solving. Under those blocks is printed a shape outline which she has to figure out what pieces will make that shape, and then do it again using a different combination of shapes.

Abby’s work:

Above: I really am liking these printables a found to practice letter.
Then to top it off we used the exercise portion of the free Human Body Printable Pack HERE for our finishing activity.
workit
There was a pile of cards with the stepper on one side and on the other side an answer with a word on it, like above ‘7 push’. Then another pile that said ‘work it’ on one said and a problem on the with a word on the other, like above ‘20-13 ups’.
The cards were laid out. On your turn you flipped over one stepper card and one ‘work it card. Then you took the counting bears and worked the problem. If the problem matched the answer then you put the card together to find out what exercise you needed to do (in this case ‘push ups’) and the answer was how many you needed to do.
So this got them doing math and exercises Smile They loved it! They wanted to keep going but I had to stop to do dinner Sad smile
